Israel is also prepared for a possible US attack on Iran

The aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln and its accompanying warships are currently stationed in the Indian Ocean.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) are fully prepared on all fronts to counter any possible US military action against Iran if Tehran retaliates against Israel.

Major General Rafi Milo, head of Israel's Northern Command, said on Sunday (January 25) that they are closely monitoring the growing presence and reinforcement of US forces in the Middle East and Persian Gulf region.

In a statement broadcast by Channel 12 News, Milo said the IDF is on high alert for the possibility that Iran could target Israel if a US attack is launched. In particular, it is closely monitoring whether the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah will join the conflict and is prepared to respond aggressively to any attack.

President Donald Trump has already warned Iran that the United States will intervene militarily if it carries out mass executions or the killing of peaceful protesters. While aboard Air Force One, Trump confirmed that he was sending a large fleet toward Iran as a "precautionary measure."

According to US Navy officials, the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln and its accompanying warships are currently in the Indian Ocean. Meanwhile, Iran has made it clear that it will consider any attack of any kind as an "all-out war" and will respond appropriately.

The war-torn region has caused major disruption to air travel in the Middle East, with Israel's Civil Aviation Authority chief Shmuel Zakai warning foreign airlines in a letter that the region is entering a "very sensitive period."

He indicated that Israeli airspace could be closed again if necessary, as the security situation is constantly changing. It is worth noting that thousands of people were stranded due to the closure of airspace during the 12-day war between Iran and Israel in June 2025.

Many international airlines have already started canceling their flights to the Middle East. Dutch airline KLM announced that it would not operate flights to cities such as Tel Aviv, Dubai and Riyadh until further notice, and would avoid the airspace of Iraq, Iran and Israel.

Air France, on the other hand, has resumed its service to Dubai but is monitoring the situation in real-time. However, Israel's El Al, Arkia and Israel Airlines have relaxed the conditions for passengers to cancel tickets. Ben Gurion Airport is currently operating normally, except for some flights to the United States that were canceled due to weather, but there is extreme panic among passengers and airlines.
