Kabul will give a "stronger response" if Pakistan attacks Afghanistan again, Afghan army chief Fasihuddin Fitrat has warned, according to a report by Afghan media outlet Tolo News.
An Afghan government source told Al Jazeera that Pakistan also carried out airstrikes in Khost province in southeastern Afghanistan.
Another Afghan official said three civilians were killed and seven others were wounded in a Pakistani attack on a house in Paktika province.
Al Jazeera's local journalists, citing Pakistani military sources, reported that an attack was also carried out on a hideout of the Afghan Taliban leadership in Laghman province in central Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, Zarghan, an Afghan citizen who returned from Pakistan, told Al Jazeera that when the attack on their camp began on Thursday night, people started running in all directions with their families.
According to Jarghan, they left all their belongings there. Some even left their children behind and fled. Two or three children are missing. In addition, three to four people were injured in the attack.
